The Foodies Arrives In Scandinavia

Monday Media, the largest independent television production company in Scandinavia, has picked up Armoza Formats’ factual-entertainment formats The Foodies for Denmark and Norway.

Developed and produced by Armoza Formats, the food-focused show has also been taken by Endemol Shine in Germany and Italy.

The Foodies (30-60’) is the docu-reality that takes the food obsession to the next level! Today, more than ever, food is a global fascination - we crave it, we photograph it, we share it on social media and we talk about it constantly. In every episode, we will join our groups of foodies as they take over a new restaurant. Each group is unique, but they all have one thing in common – their passion for food. And now, you no longer need to listen in on other tables, because you’re invited to take a seat with The Foodies as they share their unfiltered opinions and ratings of the food, service and ambience. We’ll get to know each foodie as they eat, laugh and reveal their life stories. You’ll love them or hate them, but you won’t be able to ignore them!

Lasse Hallberg, CEO of Monday Norway, "Audiences today are very engaged around the topic of food, making it a popular genre for TV content. What really set apart ‘The Foodies’ for us is its multiplatform concept that enables it to fit perfectly both as a traditional broadcast show and on any digital platform, through all the funny and relatable social moments that it creates.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “‘The Foodies’ was created to break the mold of the traditional shows in the genre – this is a food show about eating, not cooking! Its dynamics, point of view and endless possibilities for interaction, make it a powerful format for the new generation of the genre.
