Switzerland, Germany, Austria Trio Put A Ring On Armoza Formats

German-speaking network 3Sat has now commissioned Armoza Formats’ factual entertainment show With This Ring. The broadcaster will adapt the emotional show for its audiences across Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Part of the ZDF, ORF, SRG SSR and ARD cooperative, the multi-country channel will be starting production later in the year, for a slated air date of next summer. With This Ring has previously aired in France and had three popular seasons in Israel.

In additional news in Germany, docu-reality Marry Me Now, which was recently acquired by ProSiebenSat.1 Group, is now set to start production in the spring in preparation for airing in summer 2017. The format launched earlier this year, and has been taken in 8 countries to date, including France, Italy and China.

With this Ring (60’) is the factual entertainment format that addresses the trials of married life, so rarely talked about. A local celebrity host meets couples in marital crises and explores their issues, from infidelity to in-laws, career and children. Throughout the series, the host, who has her own history of marital troubles, also goes through intimate and touching “marital therapy” sessions on-screen with a renowned psychologist.

Marry Me Now (60’) is the emotional and empowering docu-reality that gives women the chance to take charge of their own fate. Each week we follow one determined woman, who has had enough of waiting for a ring. She will prepare her own wedding in just a few days and all without the groom-to-be’s knowledge. On the 3rd day she will surprise her partner in her wedding dress with an ambush proposal. If he says no, it’s all over… but if he says yes, they will tie the knot on the spot!

Rajan Autze, Head of 3Sat Switzerland, We discovered ‘With this Ring’ at MIPTV and immediately saw that it would perfectly suit our channel.  The mixture of the emotional and intellectual approach towards marital crisis and its solutions is a unique one, and really brings to life the importance of communication within couples.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “We are thrilled to see our formats grow across Europe and in the key German-speaking market. These formats tell emotional and relatable stories that speak to audiences everywhere, bringing to life genuine and authentic issues that we all face. It is these factors that ensure that they will be received well by viewers.”
