Spain Commissions Curvy Supermodel Series

Mediaset España has now licensed the finished tapes of Armoza Formats’ prime time reality competition Curvy Supermodel. The show, originally aired on RTLII Germany, is set to air on Mediaset’s woman-skewed channel Divinity. The down-to-earth modeling competition has also picked up by FremantleMedia France.

Most recently taken in the Netherlands and Poland, the original series both increased RTLII’s average share, while attracting young viewers and female audiences and creating huge buzz across the nation even prior to its airing.

Produced by Tresor TV, Curvy Supermodel (5x120’) is set to change how we define beauty, in a nationwide casting show that searches for the face of the future – with power, style and curves. Only the best will be selected out of thousands looking to find a place in the tough and discriminative modeling industry, and will confront their issues and face challenges that will prepare them for their career. An expert jury will mentor them and choose who has what it takes to continue to the next episode. We’ll accompany them on their inspiring journeys, and while all will defy society’s stereotype, only one will win the title and the modeling contract.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “’Curvy Supermodel’ is a highly impactful show that focuses on a very real and relevant issue, while bringing the topic of society’s unrealistic expectations to a positive and engaging format. We are thrilled to be bringing it to two new countries and look forward to its continued growth internationally.”
