"The Place" is set entirely inside a stylish and trendy restaurant.
Each episode focuses on the events of a single evening at the popular bistro, and the uniformity of the setting and time provides an interesting backdrop for an original script, bordering on the theatrical.
This is neither an action series nor a romance, although the plot includes a bit of both.
The series focuses on the small moments of daily life, as poignant, heart-warming stories unfold in great detail. Each episode includes a number of parallel plot lines – ranging from singular stories about the customers that begin and end in a single episode, to ongoing stories about the lives of the restaurant staff and the intrigues that surround them.
