Somewhere in the Mediterranean, there is a man named Papadizi who lives in the village of Megalomanos with an assortment of eccentric friends and a large herd of goats. What Papadizi wants more than anything is to fulfill the Mediterranean dream – to marry an American woman.
How he goes about it is the subject of "Papadizi", the scripted comedy that will have you cheering for Papadizi as he pursues his dreams the only way he knows how – by logging onto that thing known as a computer, uploading videos of himself professing his love for Britney Spears, and giving the world an ultimatum: if he doesn't find his future wife in 30 days, he'll hang himself.
During the next 30 days, Papadizi will create more videos in which he: courts an elusive Paris Hilton on Twitter, lies about receiving a love letter from Monica Lewinsky and subsequently rejects her, promises American women that he will find their G spot, and requests help from everyone from President Obama to Steven Spielberg to "Mister" Google.
Papadizi's mission sends the village of Megalomanos into a complete tailspin, igniting the passions of everyone from the local Orthodox priest to Papadizi's overbearing mother to his on-and-off love interest, the aging beauty Kokina.
A hilarious sendup to technology's effect on quiet village life, and the doors that it opens for those living in the most primitive and remote locations, "Papadizi" will charm you with his old-world style and his passion to find a beautiful woman – wherever she may be on the World Wide Web.
