Canada Looks to Armoza’s Green Project

Canadian production company 1R2D have picked up comedy sketch format The Green Project, in a new deal that marks their first partnership with Armoza Formats.

The scripted comedy format recently aired on China’s Hunan TV, where it was the highest performing show in the timeslot.

Developed by HOT, The Green Project puts a unique spin on the traditional sketch comedy genre, with limitless locations and characters through the use of green screen technology, allowing comedians' imaginations to run free and perform sketches anywhere and at any time. The cast of comedians head to the studio with only a prop closet and a green screen at their disposal, and create and perform an endless collection of hilarious sketches against any backdrop they can imagine.

Daniel Michaud and Denis Savard, Producers at 1R2D, “We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of ‘The Green Project’ distributed by the wonderful team at Armoza Formats, and are happy to be kicking off our strong relationship with this incredibly funny and appealing show.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “‘The Green Project’ is a comedy sketch show with infinite possibilities inherent in the format’s DNA. We are thrilled to be bringing it to this key region with 1R2D, who specialize in this genre of content, in order to give comedians the ability to realize all the comical scenarios that they never thought possible.”
