Armoza Formats Reveals New MIPTV Launches

Armoza Formats has now unveiled its full new lineup for MIP of 6 new shows. The diverse slate brings forward new formats developed in both Israel and internationally, across scripted and non-scripted, and from prime time shiny floor entertainment to factual.

Play Date (30-60’) is the fun-filled docu-reality show that brings together different families who have never met before each week in the search for the perfect play date. Produced by Createit Studio and Armoza Formats, each daily episode takes place at the house of the host, where the parents and child have planned a new activity that exceeds all their creative limits! While the kids play, the parents will watch hidden from sight and see a new side of their children, while reacting to the play date from their own parenting perspective! With all the different family dynamics at play, the potential for drama is endless. At the end of each episode both parents and kids will score the play date, with the week’s top-rated experience winning an indulgent vacation for all the family.

Marking the first prime time singing competition both developed and produced by Armoza Formats, The Final Four (13 x 90-120’) starts where all other shows in the genre end. In The Final Four, for the first time on TV, the four superstar-quality finalists will be announced in the season premier. Selected by a trio of top music judges, only the best will make the final four and live like VIPs from the start! But they shouldn’t get too comfortable… because in The Final Four, no one is safe. In every episode, new hopefuls will try to steal a seat from one of the final four. Anyone can become a contestant at any time via submissions on the dedicated app, but only the most talented will be able to challenge the four finalists. Who will manage to win the audience’s hearts and hold on to their spot? And in the season finale, who will be crowned the winner when the final four battle against each other?

Already taken in Germany by Tresor TV and also developed by Armoza Formats following its pitch at Formagination, Sex Tape (60-90’), is the dramatic and spicy new must-see social experiment. Many couples’ issues are reflected by problems in the bed, therefore this format gives 3 couples each episode the chance to improve their relationship by sharing their most intimate moments with others. In this entertaining, relatable and attention-holding show, couples film their love life for a week – the issues, the intimacy and the sex. They will then meet the other two couples, and under the guidance of a top sex therapist, they will reveal their uncensored tapes to each other exposing all. We’ll see their raw and unfiltered reactions, from the laughter to the conflicts and the tears, while they get a new perspective from the camera, our sexpert and the other couples in order to help solve their issues.

The City Inspector (8 x 60’) is the investigative factual entertainment format where each week a determined host will put an entire city under the magnifying glass for 48 hours! Assisted by a team of secret agents who first scout the city, our inspector and her team will assess its brightest assets and most shameful secrets in the fields of education, health care, safety, food and local authorities. Who will receive the dubious “Shame of the City” title and who will be awarded the “Pride of the City”? At the end of every episode it’s time for the big reveal and the city’s final score will be announced in front of the residents! Which city will achieve the country’s highest score? Produced by Ukraine’s 1+1 Productions and aired on 1+1, the show grew the channel’s prime time share and ratings, becoming one of the most-watched shows in the country during its run.

In addition, Armoza’s MIP line-up includes two new scripted shows. Separated (13 x 30’) is the witty comedy that follows a group of four childhood friends as they begin a new journey of singlehood and freedom together. Now in their early forties and separated from their wives, they are finally unleashed and on the loose! But as they try to relight the spark of their youth and let their inner-children spring to life, they discover that their independence is not all it’s cracked up to be. Whether about getting back in shape or working on their flirting skills, each stand-alone episode follows the friends’ search for happiness and the creative, ridiculous and absurd ways that they go about it. Produced by Black Sheep Films Productions and aired on Israel’s Channel 2, the series increased the slot’s average share while also beating the ratings of competing shows in the genre.

Produced by PANORÂMICA and Chatrone, No Return (13 x 60’), is the dramatic survival story that unfolds when a group of mountain climbers, setting out to conquer one of the world’s most dangerous peaks, get caught up in a flash food leaving them stranded in the Brazilian jungle. And when they discover that their trusted guide has lied to them, they have no hope of rescue. Lost and injured, the climbers are confronted with a series of unexpected and chaotic events that will change their destiny. In a tension-filled drama where every decision can mean life or death, no one will return the same!
