2 new countries say “I Do” To Armoza’s Marry Me Now

Armoza Formats’ empowering factual entertainment format Marry Me Now has now been acquired in South Africa by Media 24’s Via TV for local adaptation in Afrikaans. French Belgian prodco, Butterfish Group, has also acquired the local rights for the show.

These 2 new territories join France, Italy, Germany and Australia in signing on to the new docu-reality.

The emotional docu-reality that you’ll fall in love with, Marry Me Now (60’) gives women the chance to take charge of their own fate. Each week we follow one determined woman, who has had enough of waiting for a ring. She will take the lead in her life and relationship, and prepare her own wedding in just a few days and all without the groom-to-be’s knowledge. On the 3rd day she will surprise her partner in her wedding dress with an ambush proposal. If he says no, it’s all over… but if he says yes, they will tie the knot on the spot!

Pat van Heerden, Head of Content of Via TV, “We loved ‘Marry Me Now’ from the first moment. It is a format that gives women the chance to take their destiny in their own hands, and we feel that this is the perfect match for a women-focused channel such as ourselves.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “We are excited to see the continued enthusiasm for ‘Marry Me Now’ as it grows to new countries. The fun and engaging way in which it takes an almost unquestioned status quo of our society and challenges this norm, makes for an exciting and emotional viewing experience.”
